Mr M Sankar receives Honorary Membership from The Textile Association of India

The prestigious 78th All India Textile Conference, organized by The Textile Association of India (South India Unit) in collaboration with the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC), was held on 21 – 22 November, 2025 at Hotel Le Meridien, Coimbatore.

During the event, Director – Operations, LMW Limited, Mr M Sankar, was awarded with the Honorary Membership of The Textile Association (India) for his valuable contributions to the textile industry. He received the award from Shri T Rajkumar, Vice Chairman, Council of Administration, SITRA and Chairman, Sri Mahasakthi Mills Limited. The event was graced by several prominent industry leaders, technicians and
academicians.

LMW Limited (Formerly Lakshmi Machine Works Limited)

Mr M Sankar, born in 1957, hailing from Pondicherry, has done his school education in Pondicherry. He pursued his passion for textiles by graduating in Textile Technology from AC Tech, Madras University in the year 1980. Joined LMW in the year 1985 as Engineer, Marketing in the Sales Department and today he serves as the Director (Operations) of Textile Machinery Division at LMW.

2008 – Directorship on the Board of LMW’s wholly owned Stepdown Subsidiary of LMW Limited in China, LMW Textile Machinery (Suzhou) Co. Ltd.

2023 – Director (Operations) at LMW Limited

2015-2018 – Chairman of LMW Textile Machinery (Suzhou) Co. Ltd., China

Involved in ensuring that LMW stood as No. 1 textile machinery supplier in India

2022 – Directorship of LMW’s wholly owned Stepdown Subsidiary “LMW Global FZE”, Dubai, UAE

Actively involved in establishing LMW’s Global presence and Instrumental in developing and enhancing the brand equity of LMW in the Chinese market.
